Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter responds to BACKLASH over new look

Gina Kirschenheiter has responded to fierce backlash after one of her confessional looks on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County went viral – as she admitted that it may not have been her best.

Kirschenheiter, who has been a member of the show’s cast for six years, recently stunned viewers as she rocked a hugely teased, short-haired look with a dramatic side part and a metallic, short denim dress from contemporary womenswear brand Noam.
The mom-of-three, 40, accessorized the look by layering tons of chunky, gold necklaces, as well as shimmering makeup that included a nude lip and rose gold eyeshadow.

But what should have been a trendy and cute outfit for her season 18 confessional didn’t exactly land with fans, and the Real Housewives star is fully aware.

‘Just wanted to hop on here and let you all know I get it, I hear you,’ she said in a new TikTok video posted to her account this week.
‘I see what you see, honestly, I understand you don’t like this interview look, and when I saw the episode prior to it airing, I said, “That doesn’t look great,”‘ the star continued.

However, Kirschenheiter admitted that she stood by the outfit and that it looked cute in person, but didn’t necessarily translate too well on camera.

‘I’m not gonna defend myself, because I see what you see, and the bottom line is you can’t land every plane,’ the RHOC cast member joked.

‘So, I can just promise you I get it, and I will hopefully do better next time, I can’t even promise that.’

Kirschenheiter also posted the video on her Instagram Reels, where some of her fellow cast members hopped in on the fun in the comments section.

‘We love you!!! Wait until you see me next week!!!’ Shannon Beador wrote.

Heather Dubrow wrote ‘OMG’ with a string of laugh-crying emojis.

‘I saw you the day of your interview. We talked in my dressing room. You looked BEAUTIFUL!’ Jennifer Pedranti shared.

But even though the Housewife has now apologized for the fashion faux-pas, it didn’t stop fans from ripping into the look when she debuted it earlier this month.

Many viewers could not believe their eyes when they saw her confessional outfit pop up on the screen, with one person even taking to the Bravo Real Housewives Reddit page to start a thread, asking others if it was the ‘worst’ confessional look yet.

‘I audibly gasped when her new confessional popped up. It’s so bad,’ the user wrote, as they included a picture of the outfit for good measure.

Many on the online Bravo community seemed to agree.

‘It’s shocking to the eye. The whole situation is monochromatic, yet so shiny… but at the same time washed out?’ someone questioned.

Another typed, ‘I was in the bathroom and my daughter screamed. I thought something bad happened and it was just Gina lol.’

‘This was wild. I am hoping they did her dirty with the lighting because her hair looked tinted pink or something. This wouldn’t have been so bad if her hair wasn’t teased to Jesus with a side part. Her body and makeup look great,’ someone else admitted.

One commenter even wrote, ‘I mean… yes. We can now stop asking and wondering “which is the worst confessional look” now that Gina has unequivocally delivered it up on a metallic denim platter.’

Though, thankfully, there are some more confessional looks where that came from, as the season has just begun.
