On October 3, 2025, Diddy was sentenced to 50 months (4 years and 2 months) in federal prison for two prostitution-related convictions.
He also received a $500,000 fine and 5 years of supervised release.
The judge acquitted him of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

Credit for Time Served & Requests for Sentence Reduction
Because he’s already spent over a year in custody since his arrest, that time will be credited toward his sentence.
The judge has offered to recommend Diddy for the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), a 9-month program that can allow eligible inmates to reduce their sentence by up to a year.

Defense Arguments & Appeal
Diddy’s legal team is planning an appeal. They argue that Judge Arun Subramanian overstepped by acting as a “13th juror” — i.e. second-guessing the jury’s verdicts on the more serious charges.
They’ve also requested that he serve his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, citing the yard’s drug treatment programs and proximity to New York.

Public & Social Reaction
An old 2016 video of Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie (Cassie Ventura) resurfaced online after his sentencing, intensifying criticism of the sentence.
Some people online are saying he “got off easy” considering the severity of the claims against him. One juror reportedly said a 10-year sentence might have been more fitting.

Pardon Request
Diddy has reportedly asked former President Donald Trump for a pardon. Trump, however, has said he’ll “look at the facts” but gave no firm commitment to grant one.

Artistic / Musical Update
Diddy has stayed musically relevant. A song called “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine” was released in March 2025, featuring Diddy, Kanye West, King Combs (Diddy’s son), North West, and Jasmine Williams.
Also, King Combs released an EP titled “Never Stop” on June 27, 2025, executive produced by Kanye West and himself, with some songs referencing Diddy’s situation
