A lip-reading expert has revealed what was said during the tense exchange between Donald Trump and Melania that went viral.

The dramatic footage captures the US President and First Lady in an intense finger-pointing discussion through the windows of Marine One. The moment was filmed on the South Lawn on September 30, 2025.

The clip quickly spread across social media platforms, with users drawing parallels to the notable instance when Emmanuel Macron received a nudge from Brigitte back in May.

Jeremy indicates that Trump was addressing the “escalator-gate” situation at the United Nations General Assembly this week, rather than voicing complaints about something Melania had done. It comes after unrecognizable pics of Melania showing her true feelings towards Trump were exposed.

Speaking with the Daily Mail, Jeremy interprets that Melania stated: “You just continued…” Trump then answered, “It was unbelievable.”, reports the Express US.

Melania then fired back with, “Just say it and leave it..” Appearing taken aback, Trump then responded, “How can you do that…” Moments later, the prominent pair stepped off the helicopter and walked across the lawn holding hands.
The escalator malfunction at the UN General Assembly in Manhattan prompted Trump to share on Truth Social, “It’s amazing that Melania and I didn’t fall forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps, face first. It was only because we were each holding the handrail tightly or, it would have been a disaster.”

Earlier this year, when a video of Brigitte Macron playfully slapping her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, on an airplane went viral, Trump had some advice to share.

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Trump, “There was a video of the First Lady of France slapping her husband, Emmanuel Macron. Do you have any world leader-to-world leader marital advice?”.

“Make sure the door remains closed,” he replied. “That was not good. I spoke to him. He’s fine. They’re fine.

“They’re two really good people. I know him very well, and I don’t know what that was all about. But I know him very well, and they’re fine.”
