Hamptons DA says Justin Timberlake isn’t getting special treatment amid reported plea deal, ‘We’re treating this case like any other’

Justin Timberlake may have reached a plea deal in his Hamptons DWI case, but Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney says that the pop star isn’t receiving any special treatment.

Tierney wouldn’t comment specifically on the alleged pact — which would drop the case from a DWI to a traffic violation — but told Page Six exclusively the day before Timberlake, 43, is expected in court in Sag Harbor: “He’s charged with driving while intoxicated… [Then] there’s a lesser charge as driving while impaired, which happens in a number of cases. So we’re going to continue to negotiate the case. So we’ll see. We’ll see how it plays out in court, whether or not we could come to an agreement… We have to see.”

He added of the Friday hearing, “There are certain things that the prosecution wants [and] certain things that the defense wants, and there’s certain things that the court wants. So you factor all of those things in. You go to court and see if you could work them out. So we’ll see if we could work it out tomorrow.”

But he said that the “Cry Me a River” singer won’t get any VIP treatment from his office: “The one thing that we want to make sure we’re doing is… being consistent, and we don’t want to treat any defendant better than others because of, you know, because of any perceived notoriety they may have.”

He added: “But we certainly don’t want to treat people worse for the same reason. So we’re taking pains to make sure that we’re treating this case like any other case of its kind.”

TMZ reported that Timberlake’s tentative deal will allow him to dodge drunk driving charges and instead be slapped with a traffic violation.

As part of the the reported deal, to be entered on Friday, Timberlake will pay a reported $300 to $500 fine, but the exact fine would be set by the judge in the case.

When we asked if things could change on Friday, Tierney did say, “I think that happens… a lot. I think as we’ve been talking about, the process is [that] the parties get together, the prosecution and defense.

They discuss the case. We have to provide discovery, make sure we do all of that and we discuss the case and then we discuss the case with the court.”

He added that, while it’s often hard to reach a deal between all the parties, “We’ve been discussing the case with the defense, as we do with all our cases; we’ve been conferencing with the court. And we’ll just have to see what happens tomorrow.”

While the Timberlake incident is prominently on the radar of celebrity watchers, Tierney and his office have also been working on more serious cases, including the blockbuster trial of Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann, which Tierney will prosecute himself.

“I think we handle about 54,000 or so cases a year approximately,” he said. “So we’re dealing with a tremendous amount of cases. We dealt with the Gilgo Beach investigation, which was certainly a significant case. All of our cases are significant. If they were not important, we wouldn’t do them.”

He said of the Timberlake case: “When you talk about criminal liability, this is certainly on the lower scale… This is a misdemeanor case, and not a murder or felony case. So, you know, I think basically the challenges and what we strive to do is we strive to treat it as every other case of its kind. And we don’t treat it differently just because we are getting a lot of media scrutiny.

And the media scrutiny in this case is certainly far in excess to that — not what you would normally see in a case involving an a misdemeanor.”
The DA doesn’t recall where he was when he heard about the Timberlake arrest.

“I remember finding out about it,” he said. “I don’t remember where I was. I mean, I do remember where I was in a number of other cases, not this one.

You know, fortunately, no one was hurt in this case… we just had a case where it’s alleged that an individual went through a nail salon and killed four people. That happened on a Friday afternoon. I remember distinctly where I was after hearing that terrible news, but not this case.”

Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor in June and refused to take a breathalyzer after blowing through a stop sign near the swanky American Hotel, we reported previously.
Timberlake had claimed he had just “one martini” with friends, but police said he failed a series of field sobriety tests and displayed multiple signs of intoxication. But he allegedly showed signs of poor balance and an inability to follow instructions, according to police.

The former NSYNC star and his local power attorney in the case, Edward Burke Jr., have repeatedly denied that he was drunk at the time of his arrest.
Burke’s office told The Post he was “not able to make a comment” about the potential deal as of Wednesday.

Olivia Nuzzi once dated ex-MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann — star reporter’s love life in….see more

New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi dated former MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann a decade ago, when he was 55 and she was about 21 years old, Olbermann confirmed to The Post.

“That’s online. It’s public knowledge,” Olbermann said.

He said he had not spoken to her in the last decade and declined to provide details.
“I keep my personal relationships close to the vest,” said the former ESPN anchor.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedly investigating a possible lawsuit around the sexting New York mag writer Nuzzi — who allegedly “bombarded him with increasingly pornographic photos and videos” while tricking him into unblocking her numbers, according to a mutual friend.
Kennedy, 70, has hired security expert Gavin de Becker to probe the saga because he is allegedly pursuing civil — and potentially criminal — litigation against the 31-year-old star political reporter, according to Jessica Read Kraus, who knows them both.

Olbermann dated television reporter Katy Tur from 2006 to 2009 when he was in his 50s and she was in her early 20s.

He dated Nuzzi roughly five years later.

The TV personality who hosts the “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” podcast, has been tweeting about Nuzzi, but not mentioning that they had a relationship until after The Post contacted him on Monday.

“I excuse none of her conduct,” he wrote Sept. 22 on X. He then went on to rip RFK Jr. saying, “He’s an utterly irresponsible pile of s–t.”

He reposted The Post’s Sept. 21 story about how Nuzzi pursued RFK Jr. aggressively.

He says he had three dates with conservative Fox News host Laura Ingraham in 1997, and dated Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema in 2010-11 when she was a state representative.

Olbermann is 17 years older than Sinema.
Nuzzi started dating Olbermann around the time she wrote about her experience as an intern working on Anthony Weiner’s mayoral campaign alleging Weiner referred to her, and other interns, as “Monica” as in Lewinsky.

She wrote for the Not Safe for Work site and then joined the Daily Beast in 2014, the same year she was dating Olbermann, while still reportedly attending Fordham University.

Brad Pitt spotted on date night with girlfriend Ines de Ramon and more….see more

Brad Pitt and his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, attended the premiere of his new film, “Wolfs,” before stepping out for a celebratory dinner.

The “Fight Club” star, 60, and the jewelry designer, 31, looked so in love Wednesday as they smiled, held hands and hugged on the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

Pitt wore a dapper tan suit, a white button-down shirt, a pair of cream-colored loafers and dark aviator sunglasses.

De Ramon, meanwhile, coordinated with her beau in a tan midi dress.

She wore her dark locks down in loose curls and accessorized her look with a black clutch and a diamond necklace.

The couple seemed cozy as they made their way down the red carpet, but the Anita Ko vice president did not join the Oscar winner for any official photos.
Instead, Pitt opted to pose with his longtime friend and co-star George Clooney.

The “Bullet Train” star and de Ramon continued the celebrations by hitting up Mother Wolf restaurant afterward.

She was later photographed holding onto her boyfriend’s arms as they navigated through a crowd of fans and paparazzi to exit the trendy Italian eatery.

Pitt and de Ramon, who have been dating for two years, have been making more public appearances since their red carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival earlier this month.
At the time, they posed for photos with Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, before the foursome enjoyed a double date in the Italian city.

The “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star and his partner were also recently photographed spending time together in New York City, where they went out to dinner and attended an art gallery opening.
Notably, Pitt was seen wearing a $2,200 necklace with a small “I” pendant on it, one year after de Ramon stepped out with a “B” charm necklace.

The “Moneyball” star is still going through a bitter divorce from his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, with whom he shares six children. The former couple separated in 2016.

Meanwhile, de Ramon was married to “Vampire Diaries” star Paul Wesley from 2019 to 2024.

Jennifer Lopez and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs cuddle up in bed in….see more

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ party pics have resurfaced amid his recent arrest — and Jennifer Lopez is featured in a few.

The singer, who dated Combs from 1999 to 2001, was photographed at the rapper’s Fourth of July bash in 2000.

The former couple cuddled up on what appeared to be an oversized bed covered with white pillows in one of the throwback snaps.

Lopez, 55, was all smiles at the time in a blue dress and strappy silver heels.
The embattled music mogul, for his part, posed with a drink in one hand while wearing a red shirt and white pants.

In a second shot, Combs, 54, and his then-girlfriend lounged with many other A-list guests, including late R&B singer Aaliyah.
The Grammy winner’s parties are belatedly making headlines now that he has been arrested by federal agents and charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Combs, who pleaded not guilty, is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

He was taken into custody six months after his Miami and Los Angeles homes were raided, with Homeland Security uncovering supplies for his “Freak Off” parties — including 1,000 bottles of lubricant.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Sarah Jessica Parker and more stars have been pictured at his events over the years.

Khloé Kardashian described one bash in particular on a 2014 “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” episode, alleging there were “butt naked” people there.
Lopez has yet to address her ex’s allegations amid her and Ben Affleck’s divorce.
Despite her silence, fans dredged up a “Wendy Williams Show” interview which spoke volumes as Lopez’s mom, Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodríguez, vehemently opposed her daughter getting back together with Combs.
When the duo were dating, they were arrested after fleeing a Manhattan nightclub following a shooting.

Jamal “Shyne” Barrow, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crime, said last week that Combs “destroyed [his] life.”
Natania Reuben, one of the victims, celebrated Combs’ arrest after years spent claiming that he was the one who pulled the trigger.

“Thank you, merciful father!” she cried out when her daughter told her the Bad Boy Records founder’s fate.

Reuben reportedly received $1.8 million from Combs in a civil lawsuit he settled in 2011 with her and other victims.
