Ina Garten reveals she separated from husband Jeffrey after launching her cooking empire because he had….see more

Ina Garten has revealed that she briefly separated from her husband after launching her cooking empire because he ‘expected’ her to play a ‘certain role’ and felt she wasn’t ‘paying enough attention to him.’

On the outside, it has looked as though Ina’s 56-year marriage to Jeffrey has been picture perfect every step of the way.

But now, the acclaimed cook and author, 76, has revealed that she and her 77-year-old husband split up in the 1970s, when she was just starting out in her career.

The Barefoot Contessa star told People that her husband had certain ‘expectations’ of her, which she found ‘really annoying.’

‘He expected a wife that would make dinner,’ she said. ‘There were certain roles that we played, and I found them really annoying.’

Ina and Jeffrey married in 1968, and at the time, she working as the White House budget analyst.

But in 1978, she left her government job and purchased a food store in New York called Barefoot Contessa.

In an excerpt of her upcoming memoir, Be Ready When the Luck Happens, Ina explained that after she started running her own business, she realized she couldn’t ‘live with him in the traditional “man and wife” relationship anymore.’

‘When I bought Barefoot Contessa, I shattered our traditional roles – took a baseball bat to them and left them in pieces,’ she wrote.

‘While I was still cooking, cleaning, shopping, managing at the store, I was doing it as a businesswoman, not a wife.

‘I just couldn’t live with him in a traditional “man and wife” relationship. Jeffrey hadn’t done anything wrong.

‘He was just doing what every man before him had done. But we were living in a new era, and that behavior wasn’t OK with me anymore. I had changed.’

The 76-year-old admitted that her immense ‘responsibilities’ as a storeowner made it ‘impossible for her to even think about anything else, and she confessed that she ‘didn’t pay enough attention’ to her husband.

‘There was no expectation about who got home from work first and what they should do, because I never got home from work,’ she continued.

‘I didn’t pay enough attention to him. I just wanted everyone to leave me alone so I could concentrate on the store.

‘Jeffrey was fully formed and living the life he wanted to live. I wasn’t, and I wouldn’t be able to figure out who I was or what I wanted unless I was on my own. I needed that freedom.’

Ina revealed that she considered divorcing Jeffrey, but in the end, opted for a separation as she took time to figure out what she really wanted.

In the tome, she described it as the ‘hardest thing she ever did,’ but stressed the importance of her ‘being on her own.’

‘I didn’t say whether it was for now… or forever. In true Jeffrey form, he said, “If you feel like you need to be on your own, you need to do it,”‘ she recalled.

‘He packed his bag and went home to Washington with no plan to come back. I buried my emotions and threw myself into my work.’

In the end, Ina suggested that Jeffrey see a therapist, and he agreed, which changed everything for them.

They spent six weeks apart before they ultimately decided to give their love another go as ‘equals.’

‘Jeffrey’s willingness to see the therapist was as significant as anything that might happen during their session,’ Ina added.
‘He was that determined to convince me he was serious about making our marriage work.

‘Six weeks passed. We talked, we listened, and more important, we heard each other when we aired our concerns.
Moving forward, we could be equals who took care of each other. It wouldn’t happen overnight, but if we worked toward the same goal, we could change things together.’

For more than two decades, Ina grew Barefoot Contessa into a booming business, before releasing her first cookbook in 1999.

It was a rousing success and launched her into mega stardom within the culinary world.

She then began making frequent appearances on Martha Stewart’s show before landing her own Food Network program, called Barefoot Contessa, in 2002.

Since then, Ina has released a whopping 13 cookbooks in total and has embarked on a slew of other business endeavors; her show went on for 29 seasons before coming to an end in 2021.

Since their brief separation, Jeffrey has been by her side through it all, and they’re still happily in love now, decades on.

On his 77th birthday last November, Ina shared a touching tribute to him.
‘Happy birthday to my darling husband Jeffrey. I’ve loved you madly for almost 60 years and I’m just getting started,’ she gushed.

Sebastian Stan calls out reporter for describing co-star Adam Pearson as a….see more

Sebastian Stan called out a reporter for commenting on his co-star Adam Pearson’s facial disfigurement.

While the actors were promoting “A Different Man” at the Berlin Film Festival in February, a journalist asked, “What do you think happens after the transformation from this so-called beast, as they call him, to this perfect man?”
Stan, 42, quickly decided to call out the journo “a bit” for his “choice of words” during the panel in a video that resurfaced this week as he and Pearson, 39, promote the movie’s US release.

“I think part of why the film is important is because we often don’t have maybe even the right vocabulary,” the Golden Globe nominee explained. “I think it’s a little more complex than that.

“And obviously there [are] language barriers and so on, but you know, ‘beast’ isn’t the word, I think.”

In the movie, Stan’s character, Edward, becomes fixated on Pearson’s character, Oswald, who plays Edward in a stage production of his former life.
Pearson has neurofibromatosis, which is characterized by benign tumors growing in the nervous system, both in the psychological thriller and real life.

During his clapback, Stan slammed the public’s “preconceived ideas” about the condition.
“We’re not really educated on how to really understand this experience,” he said. “So I can’t really speak to that. One of the things I love about the movie is that he’s offering you a way to kind of look at it.”
The Emmy nominee noted, “Hopefully, if you can have the same objective point of view while you’re experiencing the film, then maybe you can pick apart the initial instincts that you have. And maybe those aren’t always the right ones.”

Perry Farrell Breaks Silence on Dramatic Fight with Dave Navarro

Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell has finally opened up about the explosive argument with bandmate Dave Navarro that forced the cancellation of their tour. In a recent interview, Farrell shared his side of the story, revealing the tensions that had been building between the two musicians.

“It was a long time coming,” Farrell admitted. “We’d been touring non-stop for years, and the tension had been building up. We’re both strong-willed and passionate about our music, and sometimes that passion can boil over into conflict.”

According to Farrell, the fight erupted during a rehearsal session, with the two musicians clashing over creative differences. “We were working on a new song, and Dave wanted to take it in a different direction,” Farrell explained. “I felt strongly that we should stick to our original vision, and things just escalated from there.”

The argument reportedly became so heated that the rest of the band was forced to intervene, and the rehearsal session was abandoned. The tension between Farrell and Navarro was palpable, and it soon became clear that the tour would have to be canceled.

“It was a difficult decision, but we couldn’t continue with the tour in that state,” Farrell said. “We’re taking a break to recharge and refocus. We’ll be back, but for now, we need some time apart.”

Despite the drama, Farrell insisted that the fight was not the end of Jane’s Addiction. “We’ve been through tough times before, and we’ve always come out stronger on the other side,” he said. “We’re not done yet. We’ve still got music to make and a legacy to uphold.”

The cancellation of the tour has left fans disappointed, but Farrell’s statement offers hope for the future. As the band takes time to regroup and reflect, one thing is certain – the passion and intensity that drives Jane’s Addiction will continue to fuel their music and their legacy.

Dave Grohl’s wife, Jordyn Blum, ditches wedding ring as she steps out with….see more

Dave Grohl’s wife, Jordyn Blum, ditched her wedding ring for a workout with her tennis coach, Christopher Crabb.

In Page Six’s exclusive photos, Blum, 48, was seen arriving at a Studio City, Calif., court on Tuesday, where the pair played the sport together for four hours.

Fall Out Boy frontman Pete Wentz joined in on the session, as he was seen exiting the premises alongside a sweaty Blum.
For the outing — which marks Blum’s first since her husband revealed he recently fathered a child outside of their marriage — the blond beauty sported a black tennis skirt and a gray racerback tank top, which she wore under a matching hoodie.

She carried a red leather crossbody bag, a water bottle, a protein bar and her phone, completing her look with checkered slides and black sunglasses.

Noticeably missing was any jewelry on her left ring finger.
Crabb, for his part, paired a neon yellow T-shirt with white basketball shorts and tied his long hair back into a man bun.
Grohl has long been suspicious of Blum’s relationship with Crabb.

“Dave Grohl has been jealous for ages about Jordyn’s hot tennis coach,” a source told the outlet over the weekend.
“They’ve had arguments about him, and Dave thinks they’ve flirted. Jordyn has told him he’s crazy to even think that. But Dave has persisted.”

Blum has reportedly been working with Crabb, 55, for years — and sometimes has multiple sessions per week at his Tarzana, Calif., home.

In July, Crabb — who also coaches several other celebrities — took to Instagram to gush over both Blum and Grohl.
He posted a photo of the longtime couple at Wimbledon together and captioned it, “So excited to see my students, Dave and Jordyn. They always look stylish on and off the tennis court.”

Early last week, Grohl — who shares daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, with Blum — announced he had a fourth.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the Foo Fighters frontman told his Instagram followers in a statement.
I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
The former Nirvana drummer — who did not disclose his mistress’ identity — concluded his message by saying that he and his family are “grateful” for the public’s “consideration toward all the children involved” as they “move forward together.”

Blum has yet to address the matter publicly; however, the former model-turned-MTV producer was photographed sans wedding ring a few weeks before Grohl’s indiscretion made headlines.
After news broke, internet users began taking a closer look at his past relationships.

The rocker and his first wife, Jennifer Youngblood, divorced in 1997 after his reported “admitted infidelities.”

He moved on with snowboarding pioneer Tina Basich, who claimed in her 2003 memoir that the musician cheated on her during their two-year romance.

Then late last week, a woman claimed to Page Six exclusively that Grohl hit on her in 2013 using the “exact same” “future ex-wife” pickup line that won Blum over in 2001.
The Post also recently reported on Grohl’s secret relationship with “alt porn goddess” Annaliese Nielsen, whose then-roommate saw them getting cozy in 2018.

It’s unclear whether Blum had concerns when she and Grohl tied the knot in August 2003; however, “Dave’s flirty behavior has been a hurdle in their marriage,” a source told People earlier this week. “It’s been hurtful to Jordyn.”

Another source added that those close to the longtime couple were not shocked by the baby bombshell given that the Grammy winner has “a rock star side.”
