Justin Timberlake apologizes outside courthouse after taking plea deal in DWI case: ‘This is a mistake that I made’

Justin Timberlake issued a court-ordered apology on Friday after accepting a plea deal for his DWI case.

“This is a mistake that I made but I’m hoping that whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake,” Timberlake told reporters outside the Sag Harbor courthouse.

“Even one drink — don’t get behind the wheel of the car.”

Earlier in the day, the “Mirrors” crooner pleaded guilty to an impaired driving traffic violation (DWAI), which is not a criminal offense in comparison to his original DWI charge.
A ccording to legal experts, the main difference between a DWAI and DWI is the level of intoxication.

A judge ordered the pop star, 43, to pay a $500 fine, perform 25 hours of community service at a nonprofit and appear in a public service announcement on the dangers of drunk driving, according to ABC News.

Timberlake arrived at the courthouse early Friday morning wearing brown trousers, a black T-shirt and a matching cardigan.
During the hearing, Timberlake admitted he had a lot of “time to reflect” following his June arrest. The singer said he is filled with “disappointment” in himself and knows he “did not live up to the standard I hold myself to,” per People.

“I found myself in a position where I should’ve taken a moment,” she said in the courtroom. “I understand and appreciate the seriousness of this.”

The hitmaker also took “a moment to show gratitude to everybody involved” and apologized for putting a “strain” on the small town.
After news of his plea deal broke earlier this week, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney told Page Six that Timberlake’s case was handled with the same amount of care as any other offender.
The one thing that we want to make sure we’re doing is… being consistent, and we don’t want to treat any defendant better than others because of, you know, because of any perceived notoriety they may have,” Tierney told us.

“But we certainly don’t want to treat people worse for the same reason,” he added. “So we’re taking pains to make sure that we’re treating this case like any other case of its kind.”

The hitmaker was arrested in June after he allegedly ran a stop sign and swerved between lanes after drinking with a few friends at a popular bar in the Hamptons.
However, Timberlake later claimed he only had one martini, a sentiment dittoed by his lawyer, Edward Burke Jr.

Burke claimed the “SexyBack” singer was “not intoxicated” at the time of his arrest and that “police made a number of very significant errors in this case.”

Despite being reprimanded for his comments, the high-powered attorney was able to negotiate the original charges.

Sam Taylor-Johnson, 57, keeps shirtless husband Aaron, 34, close as he shows…see more

Sam Taylor-Johnson cuddled up to her chiseled husband, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, in a new photo of the pair on vacation together.

Aaron, 34, shared the image in an Instagram carousel on Tuesday, which showed him and Sam, 57, smiling on a cliff in front of the ocean. His wife of 12 years proudly held onto him as he smiled shirtless next to her with his washboard abs on full display.

The “Fall Guy” actor — who seemingly began growing his beard back after shaving it off this summer — wore nothing but black swim trunks, while Sam rocked a brown and white bikini top and cut-off shorts paired with brown sandals.
Completing the picturesque photo was a faint rainbow to their left.

Aaron also shamelessly showed off his rock-hard abs in another snapshot of himself in which he stood wearing printed shorts while smoking a cigarette. The couple flaunted their athleticism in other pictures, as one depicted Aaron hopping high into the air, while another showed Sam doing a cartwheel.

Whoopi Goldberg tells Travis Kelce fans blaming Taylor Swift for his sluggish start to 'shut up' as…see more

The View host Whoopi Goldberg has defended Taylor Swift and ordered Kansas City Chief fans to ‘shut up’ after they blamed the singer for her boyfriend’s sluggish start to the NFL season.

Kelce played a peripheral role again on Sunday night as the Kansas City Chiefs extended their perfect start to the season to 3-0 with a 22-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The 34-year-old, whose girlfriend missed a game for the first time this season, was caught by TV cameras looking particularly miserable on the sideline in a clip which went viral.

Some football fans have been quick to accuse Swift of ‘taking his mind off the game,’ but Goldberg, 68, was having none of it and fumed during Tuesday’s episode of the daytime show: ‘Grow up, y’all! Grow up! Stop putting this on her. Your team is fine, your team is doing well. Shut up!’

The Sister Act star continued: ‘It’s insane. Listen, this is a guy whose doing movies now, he’s doing television commercials, he’s doing all kinds of stuff. He might have been a little busy, and maybe he’s not 12 anymore, okay? He’s still a viable player….’
Goldberg also claimed it was Donald Trump supporters who are most annoyed and added: ‘I’m blaming MAGA. I think it’s them because they’re mad she is not supporting you-know-who. They’re putting all of this on her!’ referring to the singer’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election.

Sunny Hostin was quick to agree and said: ‘I love your point, though. It’s probably the crazy MAGA people that are upset about this,’ as Goldberg fired back: ‘Yeah, because why else would this suddenly be an issue?’

Defending the Cruel Summer hitmaker, she then claimed: ‘And she’s also busy! Sorry y’all, she’s not thinking about him!’ before Alyssa Farah Griffin shared her thoughts.

Griffin, 35, said: ‘If I may put on my sports analyst hat… as I understand it, football is a team sport, so just because he’s not making touchdowns doesn’t mean he’s not contributing to the success of the team. They’re currently undefeated this season and once again just the classic blaming a woman for a man….

‘She can’t magically affect his game, and the thing I do love about this relationship and why I root for it, they support each other. He went to more than half a dozen of her international shows.

‘She showed up, she flew back from the Tokyo “Eras” tour, took a 12-hour flight to be at the Super Bowl, one of the best signs of love is showing up for the other person,’ Griffin added.

Joy Behar chimed in and commented: ‘Remember when Bill Clinton had his scandal after Hillary, they blamed her. This goes back to the Garden of Eden, but it’s like as old as the hills, it’s biblical to blame the woman and here we go again.’

She then turned to Goldberg and added: ‘But I think you’re right, I think it’s that group.’
Goldberg was referring to Swift’s decision to endorse Harris, and not Trump, in the upcoming US presidential election, which will take place on November 5.

On September 10, the popstar took to Instagram and shared a photo of herself cuddling her pet and referred to herself as a ‘childless cat lady’ in a clear dig to comments made by JD Vance.

Swift said in her lengthy post that that she was disturbed by false reports she had endorsed Trump.
‘I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,’ she wrote.

Diddy's bodyguard says there are tapes of politicians at 'freak offs' and claims rapper 'learned' from other….see more

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ former bodyguard revealed the disgraced rap mogul kept tapes of politicians taking part in his infamous ‘freak off’ sessions, and claimed his arrest is tied to an alleged corruption scandal currently gripping New York City politics.
Gene Deal, a former insider who protected Diddy through the 1990s, told The Art of Dialogue podcast that the producer’s indictment could expose high-profile officials and celebrities in the Big Apple.

‘This is all bigger than Diddy,’ he said, without naming who the alleged tapes are of.

He spoke out in the days after Diddy was indicted in New York and charged with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution, as he now faces the prospect of decades behind bars.
The charges against Diddy came six months after his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by federal agents, where officers said they found over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant allegedly used in the ‘freak off’ sessions.
The ‘freak offs’ would see Diddy ply women with drugs before coercing them into marathon sexual performances with male prostitutes, according to prosecutors.

Speculation has fallen on alleged ‘tapes’ of these sessions, however prosecutors have not commented on them being filmed.

Asked if there are any celebrities on alleged ‘freak off’ tapes, Deal responded: ‘(Diddy) gave celebrity parties, so what do you think?’

Deal said that while the raids specifically targeted Diddy’s properties, the arrests were part of something that is ‘bigger than Diddy.’

He noted that despite allegations of criminal wrongdoing in lawsuits, including one brought by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, prosecutors in California did not bring charges.

Instead, the charges were brought in New York, which Deal said he believes is linked to a slate of resignations and allegations of corruption among Big Apple officials.

‘People aren’t going to tie this together.’
The bodyguard implied that Diddy himself was victimized early in his career by other powerful music industry figures, and said he blames the ones who ‘trained him and taught him the music business’ for Diddy’s alleged crimes.
Puff wasn’t born a monster, he was made into a monster,’ he said.

‘He was made into a monster because of what happened to him, and because of the things he had to do.

‘To keep it frank, he was doing to other people what was done to him… that’s a learned behavior.’

He claimed: ‘They was heavy into the drugs, they was heavy into beating women, and doing things at that crazy stage that’s going to make him think he can get away with the same things that they was getting away with back then.’

‘I’m not going to say allegedly because I saw that for my own self,’ he added.

Deal said Diddy’s dramatic, high-profile arrest was ‘karma’ for ‘a lot of the stuff that he did’, including one allegation that he led rapper Biggie Smalls ‘to his death.’
His karma was bound to catch up with him,’ he continued.

‘So all the things that are going on right now, the learned behavior that he got from these people who was not living spiritually correct… he went and transferred that and did that to people.’

Deal concluded that Diddy’s arrest will go down as ‘one of the greatest tragedies’ in hip-hop history, alongside the infamous deaths of Tupac and Biggie Smalls.

‘He brought it on himself,’ Deal said.
He knew that he was wrong, and he knew that he learned something that wasn’t right… he knew that if something is wrong you get help, and he didn’t choose none of that.’
