David Beckham’s former assistant is standing by her story.

While the former Manchester United player has repeatedly denied ever cheating on his wife Victoria Beckham with Rebecca Loos—who started working for him back in 2003—she doubled down on her claims that she slept with David “a few times.”

“It was a very brave thing to do, to go up against them,” Rebecca told 60 Minutes Australia in an interview that aired March 30. “I have stuck to the truth, I’ve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing. Why? Because I’m going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media. And all I had on my side was the truth.”

The 47-year-old recalled going to a nightclub with David in 2004 in the months after he moved from Britain to Spain to play for Real Madrid. It was there where she says he invited her back to his hotel room.

“He just kept looking at me and I gave in,” Rebecca alleged. “The way he looks at you…it’s quite hard not to. He’s got a certain charismatic power about him. He’s very good looking and he can easily get what he wants. And he knows it.”

But after photos emerged of her and David chatting in a nightclub and sparked cheating speculation in early 2004, Rebecca—who admitted that their alleged tryst was “naughty”—publicly came forward with her side of the story.

It’s better that it comes from me and that I have some sort of control,” she explained of her decision to speak to a British tabloid in April 2004. “By doing that, it was a way of me, sort of, not getting back at him but…the way he treated me was very unfair, what he was getting away with, and that two-faced life.”

“I know how much his image means to him,” Rebecca added. “I want him to feel some pain too, I guess.”

his part, while David has denied the infidelity allegations, he and Victoria—who share children Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13—did recently discuss how the media attention around Rebecca’s claims affected their marriage.

“There was some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with,” David explained in Netflix’s 2023 docuseries Beckham. “It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.”

“I don’t know how we got through it in all honesty,” he continued. “Victoria’s everything to me. To see her hurt was incredibly difficult. But, we’re fighters. And at that time, we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family. And what we had was worth fighting for.”

While Rebecca “never” expected the couple to address her allegations on the series, part of her did think that the former soccer star—who wed the former Spice Girls member in 1999—would admit some wrongdoing.

It makes you want to stand up for yourself and it makes you want to keep coming forward.”
